AMASS Gallery Huge Success

On September 17th Members of the RUDC participated in AMASS Gallery 2. Artists Making A Street Scene (AMASS) Gallery II is, “A collaborative effort from Stateside Magazine, Fishbon, The Collective Experiment, Walkabout Woods, Branches Art Collective, The City of Santa Barbara, and many other organizations.” The event featured murals being created, music during the day, and DJs at night. And most importantly, “multiple art installations, food, drink, fun, and unity with your local art minded individuals.” The event was very successful and the music incredible.

RUDC operated a small booth in collaboration with Beads for Beehives. We spent the day decked out in African wear and Ghanaian beads raising awareness about our cause. Our partner Beads for Beehives showed up in style and sold authentic Ghanaian beads with all profit going directly towards RUDC.

Beads for Beehives will have a website online soon and we will provide you with a link to learn more about the wonderful organization. We appreciate the support and look forward to a great long term relationship. Vicky you’re the best!

We got a great community response and met a lot of really nice people who want to offer help. Beads for Beehives donated all proceeds to RUDC, and plans were made for future collaboration. We look forward to watching our new Santa Barbara connections blossom into great partnerships, and appreciate Beads for Beehives contribution that will go directly towards the materials needed to complete the clinic.

Overall, great event and Santa Barbara is full of amazing people. A special thanks to our friends and family in Santa Barbara who provided us with food and shelter.
